The 2nd Annual Palm Beach Gospel Music Awards showcased all-star line-up
in front of record crowd.
Televised Show Taping will be aired on Christian Television Network (CTN)
August 21,2005
This years awards celebration included many special guests, performances and tributes from some
of Gospel Music brightest stars in South Florida. Some of the presenters tapped for the 2005 awards
show included State Representative Mandy Dawson, Bishop Thomas Master, Raymel Menefee of
Geffen Records, Ted White from WPTV News Channel 5, Bucket Head the 5 star DJ and Rawsrvnt
who rocked the house as he free-styled before announcing the winner for the category he presented.
Rawsrvnt was nominated in 2 categories: Gospel Hip-Hop and album of the year.
Winning for PBGMA was Elder Jimmy Hicks & the Vocies of Integrity leading the pack this year.
They took home four awards for album of the year (CrossRoads), Gospel Song of the year
(Blessed Like That), Traditional Group/Duo of the Year, and Male vocalist of the Year for
Jimmy Hicks. LaNorris Mcfadden and P.R.O.O.F. were not far behined with winning three PBMA
for the evening. The Biggest suprise of the evening was Soul Mckenzie winning Best New Artist, for
His hit single Glory Hallelujah,which has been climing the charts and receiving major air-play on the
B106.3 FM Sunday Morning Inspirations with Brother Sanford Ward.
" I thank God for this" said a beaming Mckenzie.
